Raise Your Reputation

Reputation of your domain name and the IP addresses that your emails are sent from is a major factor with respect to spam filtering and reaching the inbox.

Transform Your Content

We all know that copywriting is key to capturing the attention of your prospective customers, but it is also a significant factor used by email filtering engines and the major email providers when deciding if you even reach their inbox.

One of the most important things to keep in mind is that not all the contacts in your email list will be valuable subscribers.

Contacts who haven't opened any of your emails in the last 90 days are considered liabilities and you’ll be damaging your email reputation every time you send something to those people.

The EmailSmart Score, shown below, tells you how many liabilities, as well as how many assets, you’ve been emailing in the last 30 days. Your score should be as close to 999 as possible, with a perfect score meaning you were only emailing assets.

The more assets you’re mailing (and the fewer liabilities), the more likely it is that your new contacts will engage with you.

Authenticate Your Emails: Summary

Here we’ll make sure your email authentication is set up correctly. This is vital to ensure your emails are delivered to the inbox.


SPF, which stands for Sender Policy Framework, is a record published through your domain hosting that tells the world which email platforms you trust to send emails on your behalf.

DKIM, which stands for Domain Keys Identified Mail, is a set of records published through your domain hosting that allow your email platforms to digitally sign your emails to prove they were legitimately sent by you.

DMARC (Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting & Conformance) specifies what mailbox providers should do when they receive an email from you that hasn’t passed any other form of authentication.
